After a lumpectomy or breast sparing surgery, breast symmetry may be missing. This can cause your bra and clothes to twist, create pressure points, or just be very noticeable in your clothes. Balance can be regained with the use of the proper fitting bras and a partial breast prosthesis. The Radiant Impressions Custom Breast Prosthesis may also be a solution.
Items designed for lumpectomies are also eligible to be covered in part or in whole by your health insurance.
Judy's Intimate Apparel is a preferred provider for most insurance companies in Washington State. We also gladly provide services for those receiving DSHS/Medicaid/ProviderOne benefits.
Medicare also reimburses on items needed for balance and symmetry after a lumpectomy. Your pocketed bras can be replaced every three to six months for Medicare beneficiaries and your silicone breast prosthesis every other year. In most qualifying cases, we will ask Medicare for payment so that your up front out-of-pocket expense is reduced if not eliminated.
All daily wear silicone prostheses for mastectomy and lumpectomy at Judy's have a two year manufacturer warranty!
